Arch Diocese Of Chicago Letter of Success!
December 18, 2019
Dear St. Eugene Families,
For the past few months, the St. Eugene community has been engaged in fundraising and enrollment efforts on behalf of St. Eugene School for the 2020/21 school year and beyond. The Archdiocese of Chicago's Office or Catholic Schools (OCS) has been in close contact with St. Eugene leadership as well as individual donors and school parents. We had two main goals to strive towards: fundraising and enrollment.
I am very pleased to inform you that these efforts have been successful, and St. Eugene School has met Its fundraising goal. As such, St. Eugene School is on track to remain open for the 2020/21 school year. I have much confidence that the momentum building at St.
Eugene will continue in the months and years ahead. I wish to congratulate the school community for their collaborative and passionate work in raising these funds. It is very clear that the St. Eugene community loves its Catholic school! St. Eugene parish, school and community leadership have shared with us that in addition to meeting the outlined fundraising goals, they have also secured ongoing commitments of monetary support and are continuing to raise money for the school. This is truly wonderful and is vital to the long term success of the school.
It is important to remember that SL Eugene School also has a goal for enrollment for next school year. Parish, school and community leadership have shared with us that the school ls currently tracking at 70 percent of the enrollment goal of 185 students, which is great momentum. I encourage school families. if you have not done so already, to complete the
re-enrollment process at www.steugene-school.org.
Finalizing enrollment numbers is critical for the school In forecasting costs and plans for next school year and beyond. If the enrollment goal is not fully met, the OCS will accept budgetary adjustments and/or additional raised funds to compensate for the lost tuition revenue. We are also supporting efforts to grow enrollment through marketing initiatives that will be essential for the long-term health of St. Eugene. Parish. school and community leadership have shared with us that several new families have shadowed St. Eugene School in recent weeks. This is all positive news.
I am thrilled to see the community-led work around St. Eugene's ·stay Healthy Initiative". Through the new family referrals being offered, your work with local organizations to engage the community and other initiatives, I am confident this dedicated school community can continue to accomplish so much working together to ensure a healthy school for years to come.
The Office of Catholic Schools continues to work with St. Eugene leadership to prepare for the coming school year. Congratulations again on your accomplishments. and I look forward to witnessing the continued success of St. Eugene School for years to come.
Yours in Christ,
Jim Rigg, Ph. D.
